This month’s recipe is for a hearty, comforting winter soup that is also a nice, slow-cooking dish for those of you with a sweet tooth. I’ve included lots of ingredients for you to have in your pantry, fridge, or freezer.
This is a one-pot soup recipe that uses a variety of veggies, meaty flavors, and spices, and because its so hearty, it’s great on a cold winter’s night.
The secret ingredient in this soup is damera, or black sesame root. I love this root, mostly because it has no calories, but because it’s such a great source of fiber and antioxidants. This soup does have a bit of a kick to it, but it’s not as strong as you may think.
The word “damera” comes from the Greek dama, meaning “to eat.” As you probably know, “damera” in a soup is to eat the root in one bite.

It is rich in antioxidants, including Vitamin C and vitamin E, which are great for your heart and your brain. The other great thing about this soup is that it’s only 300 calories, so you could easily make one of these for dinner. What I’m talking about here is not a soup I’m particularly excited about. It’s not the healthiest one I’ve ever made, and it definitely wasn’t one of the best I’ve ever made, but I was pleased with the results.
This is where I come in. Ive tried three different recipes of this soup, and the one that Im proudest of was the one that I made and I ate just one bowl of each to see how much fat was in the soup. Ive also made other soups before, but its always the same recipe. As in Ive just used more vegetables over time and it just wasn’t as tasty or as healthy.
I think the biggest problem when you’re making something that’s healthy and good for you is that you’re always making it with a lot of fat in it. It’s just a bad recipe that you overdo. This soup was the first time I’ve made something that was not healthy. For years I’ve suffered from a chronic problem with heartburn that has made it impossible to lose weight.
As you can see by our videos, we love to push the limits of vegetables on our viewers. As a group, we love to eat anything that contains a bunch of vegetables. Ive even made a recipe where we use vegetables to make the main base for a soup. The best part about this recipe is that it requires just a couple of ingredients, so you can make this soup in the crock pot or stovetop, and it will turn out very tasty.
