I love this quote from Eric Guelzmotti, the founder of Wipro and a visionary.
If “Wipro” is what you were thinking of, that is not a good thing.
Wipro is the best example of a company that has managed to retain its culture and core values while turning itself into a profitable enterprise. Wipro has always been entrepreneurial, but it has always been focused on one thing. The company has been successful in the past and has recently been making some serious acquisitions. Wipro’s leadership has always been focused on building great teams and making life better for people. This is what you need to do in order to continue to be successful.
The company itself is a bit of a mess, but it’s probably less of an impediment to growth than you think. Wipro has been a great company for years, but at some point they ran out of cash and had to restructure. The leadership has changed since then, but it’s clear that they have learned a lot since then. And there’s no arguing with the fact that making money is a huge motivation for people in the organization.

It’s not a bad thing though, because the leadership has been able to hire the right people.
Of course, you could argue that selling to consumers is the wrong way to go. We could say that the CEO needs to go, the president needs to go, the CFO needs to go, the COO needs to go, the chairman needs to go. But the fact is that most companies are not run that way, and I believe this is why most companies end up a mess. This is why most companies end up in a state of dysfunction.
It’s a bit like a dog having its tail cut off, but that’s not a bad thing. It doesn’t mean the dog’s actually getting better, though. What it does mean is that the dog can still run around, have a good time, and make a lot of friends.
What we are getting here is a new take on the “company-as-solution-to-a-problem” concept, and we’re talking about a company that is actually run the way it should be run. If you’re a CEO, you have the power to run your company the way you want it to, and how you want it to, but you need to know that you have to play nice with those who want to be in your shoes.
