I have a funny story to share. My first thought after seeing the video was that it was a good idea, so I bought the DVD. I have always been hesitant to watch movies because there are so many things that can go wrong and I have always been afraid of ruining something I thought I was going to like. However, after watching the video and seeing how much I enjoyed it, I decided to take the plunge.
So, to be clear, I was not expecting such a great story arc yet. In fact, I was expecting the end to be abrupt. However, the fact that one of the main characters, a woman named Sapello, has a big role in the story, made me go “Aha! Now I see why I didn’t like the first movie.
Sapello is a woman who has no memory of anything before she wakes up on a beach. She’s a former party girl who doesn’t know where she is or how she got there. She’s also a very intelligent woman, and she has the ability to see things that have not yet happened. She was so taken by the story arc that she decided to help Colt out by keeping him in a constant state of awareness.
The trailer shows us that Sapello has a very strong connection to Colt and how they first met. Sapello even has a small cameo in-universe, showing up in the trailer with her phone and telling Colt that someone is trying to kill him. Not only that, but Sapello has a very strong connection to the Visionaries, as she has been one of their party-goers for a very long time.
Even though Sapello is a character in the story, she is not a “character” in the sense of being an actual human being. This is because her existence is so brief that it appears to be a memory of her that she’s had since the events of the first game. The only thing that makes her human in the first game are the bits of dialogue that reference her.
In the new trailer, we meet Sapello as she is laying on a beach with her sister. Her sister, Marcello, is a Visionary who’s been on the island for years. While she’s laid up there, the two of them have been sneaking around and taking potshots at the Visionaries, so they’re not completely aware of what’s going on.
It looks like the second game’s Marcello was a very small, extremely intelligent woman with a very big mouth. Sapello is clearly a larger woman, and one who has no knowledge of the island (or her sister, for that matter) whatsoever.
Marcello seems to have a lot of similarities to the way that Sapello is described. Both are in a state of amnesia after having taken part in a failed assassination attempt on the Visionaries. Marcello’s amnesia is more extensive than Sapello’s and she has been a security guard for Visionaries since the time of her sister.
Sapello’s amnesia is explained in the trailers, and in the game itself. She has a number of reasons for wanting to take her sister with her, and one of which is to stop her sister from following her into the island so she can be put in charge of the Visionaries.
It’s easy to see how the two amnesiacs could be similar in this respect, and that they could be related. But it’s also easy to see how the two could actually be very different. Marcellos is smart and tough, while Sapellos is a little more vulnerable and a little less cunning. In general, though, I think Sapellos is better looking.
